IoST registered supply teachers will:
- Link their personal profile to their current recruitment agency.
- Have free access to CPD through the Teacher Learning Camp (TLC).
- Show their availability for work.
- Accept/reject placement offers.
SyncEd registered school will:
- Link their school to their preferred recruitment agencies.
- Post vacancies to supply teachers via their preferred supplier recruitment agencies.
- Offer placements to the most competitively priced recruitment agency.
SyncEd registered educational recruitment agencies will:
- Encourage their database of compliant supply teachers to register with the IoST so that they can be offered placements on SyncEd.
- Invoice the school and pay the supply teacher in the normal way.
The entire supply teacher placement is completed through the app. From a school advertising the placement, to the supply teacher being placed. Meaning less admin and phone calls for your recruitment agency.
Absolutely not. Your supply teacher database will not be shared with other agencies. We understand that you spend significant time and resource recruiting your supply teachers. You will have a dedicated list of your supply teachers that will be private to you and you alone. No other agency will be able to view your supply teachers. You are completely protected. Only Teacher Name, Subject, Proximity to School and Day Rate will be visible by the School.
Yes. You can upload Certifications and DBS References for the schools to view. We will also record teacher engagements to help with future referencing. We encourage existing IoST members to upload their certifications to their profile which can then be quickly shared with you to help improve the supply teacher onboarding process.
If the school is already registered with SyncEd they can mark your recruitment agency as their ‘preferred supplier’ bringing your teachers to the top of the search list. If they are not registered yet, then they can sign up here.
Yes. Contact us regarding this. If you have a contract covering specific schools we can invite local IoST registered supply teachers (not another agency) to create a relationship with you.
Yes. If you have available supply teachers that are local to a school and meet their search criteria then your supply teachers will be available to be offered work.
Yes. You can either apply a default markup percentage or fixed fee per day. On your Agency Profile you can build a discount matrix for longer term placements. The platform is designed to help you reduce placement costs and help pass some savings to the teachers and schools. As a responsible partner to education, we encourage you to keep your rates competitive.
We encourage teachers to set their gross daily pay rates (to include Holiday Pay and Pension Provision). You will be able to see the placements on the platform.
We will provide you with reports of supply teacher placements that you can use to invoice the school in the usual way. In the future we may offer self-billing functionality.
Various membership tiers are available. We will help you choose the one to suit your recruitment agency when you onboard with the IoST.

The IoST has been established to create positive change for the market. By bringing together supply teachers, schools, and education recruitment agencies we are enabling that positive change.
Yes. Introduce schools to us and receive IoST rewards when they place their first candidate.
Schools will be presented with a list of supply teachers that match their placement criteria (loction, teacher qualifications etc). The supply teachers linked with the school’s preferred recruitment agency will rank top. They send a placement request directly to the supply teacher who can accept (or decline) directly to the school. Upon placement completion, your agency bills the school and pays the supply teacher in the normal way. All with little to no intervention, phone calls, admin or stress for you.
